CROYDE JAUNDICE METER
Product Code: BM-100

The Croyde Jaundice Meter is a portable, non-invasive and self-calibrating jaundice detector that delivers instant readings, with a coloured LED touchscreen and long lifespan.

PORTABLE SOLUTION FOR COMMUNITY MIDWIVES

The compact size of the Croyde Jaundice Meter and its ability to take 2,000 measurements on a full charge makes it easily portable - an ideal solution for community midwives during home visits.

Rather than having to visually decide whether a baby might be jaundiced, they can simply use the meter to obtain an accurate reading of the baby's bilirubin levels for each home visit.

This can reduce the number of hospital visits mother and baby might need to make so soon after birth, which can positively impact their mental health and wellbeing.

QUICK & ACCURATE
RECORDINGS

Whilst not a lab device, the TCB machine delivers quick and accurate measurements that reduce reliance on visual detection.

This is especially useful for detecting jaundice in babies of certain ethnicities, where the severity of jaundice may be harder to identify without a blood test.

CLINICAL TRIAL RESULTS

Results of clinical trials highlight the positive correlation between instrument measurements taken by the Croyde Jaundice Meter and total levels of bilirubin obtained from blood sampling.

Having access to reliable results can ultimately facilitate early detection of jaundice before it becomes too severe, whilst also reducing the need for unnecessary blood tests for babies with low bilirubin levels.

NON-INVASIVE TECHNOLOGY

Unlike blood tests, that require piercing the skin, a TCB machine is non-invasive. It instead directs light into the skin, analysing how it is absorbed and reflected to accurately estimate bilirubin levels - giving midwives results they can be confident in.

While blood tests may still be needed, using the TCB machine as a first step can help minimise unnecessary ones occurring. This not only makes the process more comfortable for infants, but also eases parents' stress by avoiding separation and witnessing the discomfort of a more invasive test.

EASY TO USE

The Croyde Jaundice Meter is easy to use, requiring you to take only three simple steps:

Step 1:

On the LED touchscreen display, select 'measure'.

Step 2:

Place the tip of the meter against the baby's chest and gently push the device down three times (there will be a light flash with each push).

Step 3:

Push the device once more - the screen will then automatically generate the average result for you to record.
