Installation

Installation of the Croyde Living ceilings can be carried out by the hospital’s Estates team or Croyde Medical’s specialist installation team.

Installation time is usually approx 3 hours per ceiling and full installation instructions / over the phone support is provided for in-house installs.

Before placing an order, it will be necessary to check the void above the ceiling, to ensure that there is sufficient space to house the unit(s).

It is highly recommended that the Estates team are involved in the pre-purchase discussions to ensure full technical compliance and to confirm installation requirements

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the lead times ?

Approx 6 weeks

How do we know if we could have them installed ?

The easiest thing to do is to send us a quick picture of the ceiling you are considering installing it in.  We can then give you some initial feedback and ideas of costing before taking the next steps.  We would then ask for a contact in the Estates department who we can liaise with.  We’ll need to ask them about what’s above the tiled ceiling, if there is power accessible etc.

How realistic are they ?

They’re amazing to look at.  We’ll put you in touch with a few different units that have had them installed so you can ask them about the feedback they receive.  They really do help change the room environment

Where are they used ?

Birthing pool rooms are quite popular but bereavement suite rooms and rooms with no natural daylight are also good areas of use.  Along corridors is another area of interest to help reduce stress levels during transfer to theatres, as an example
