Birth Room Mood Lighting

Croyde Starry Sky Ceilings are designed to help midwives transform maternity environments with bespoke low-level lighting

The midnight blue back panel and twinkling LED lights mimic a night sky scene. 

Popular in birth rooms and above birthing pools, they help to create a calm, relaxing space.

Colours can be selected by remote control to softly illuminate the room.

Configuration Options

Ceilings are available in a variety of shapes and sizes:

  • Birth pool shaped
  • Round shaped
  • Yin and Yang shaped

The ceiling panel can also be selected in a different colour at no extra charge.

Installation instructions & fixings are supplied with each ceiling and specialist technical knowledge is not essential.

What is the lead time ?

Usually around 6 – 8 weeks.  Each ceiling is bespoke to your order

What sizes are there ?

We have standard sizes and deigns but if you have a specific size in mind, just let us know.  We can produce any shape or size

How do they attach to the ceiling ?

They are not installed into the main ceiling (not recessed into it to the same level) they are attached onto it.  They do not need any space above the main ceiling, they simply screw in.  Specialist installation is not required, the attachment is very simple and could easily be done by the hospital’s Estates team.  The main ceiling does need to be weight bearing though as the Croyde ceiling weighs approx 8kg per square metre 

What lights are included within the designs ?

Most ceilings have twinkling LED white lights and RGB colour changing edge lighting around the outside.  Our recommended ceiling for use above birthing pools is the midnight blue background with the twinkling LED lights and edge lighting
