Designed specifically for the storage of contrast media, the QED Contrast Media Warming Cabinets is ideal for warming bottles of contrast media in CT scanner suites. These cabinets come in multiple configurations, with custom options also available.

PRECISE TEMPERATURE MONITORING

To ensure effectiveness, help prevent extravasation and avoid harming patients, contrast media bottles must be kept between 36-40°C before use. As such, QED Contrast Media Warmers are set to maintain a steady 37°C.

An integrated PID digital controller delivers accurate, consistent and reliable temperature regulation, making the warmers ideal for reliable temperature monitoring.

MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY

Even heat distribution ensures contrast media is at an optimal temperature to be administered before CT scans. This enhances patient comfort and the diagnostic value of the imaging examination, whilst mitigating the risk of burns to patients' vascular systems.

There is also a quiet internal fan to support rapid temperature recovery after door openings, preserving the integrity of the contrast media and ensuring maximum efficiency.

OVERHEAT DETECTION

 To ensure contents don't spoil, the safety overheat is automatically set 3°C above the set operating temperature. Should the cabinet reach this temperature, the overheat warning light will come on to notify you. In the unlikely event of excessive overheating, then the overheating failsafe will activate and shut off the cabinet - automatically resetting once the temperature returns to optimal.

All QED Contrast Warmers are made with medical grade stainless steel interiors and a powder coated exterior, offering a professional appearance, enhanced temperature control and easy cleaning. If desired, a stainless steel exterior is also available.

What’s more, all parts are fully replaceable, extending the product’s lifespan and reducing the need for complete unit replacements. This makes it a more sustainable and cost-effective warming cabinet solution compared to plastic alternatives, which contribute to environmental waste and require more frequent replacement.

VERSATILE RANGE

The QED Contrast Media Warming Cabinet range comes in seven standard sizes, with capacities ranging from 10-140 bottles. Smaller models can also be wall-mounted if free-standing solutions aren't appropriate for your environment.
